Adib Makarim menyerahkan piala pada santri pemenang lomba dalam peringatan Hari Santri di halaman Kantor Bupati Tulungagung, Senin (22/10).

DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Pimpinan DPRD Tulungagung ikut hadir dalam upacara Hari Santri di halaman Kantor Bupati Tulungagung, Senin (22/10), bersama anggota Forum Komunikasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) Kabupaten Tulungagung.

Di antara pimpinan DPRD Tulungagung yang hadir dalam upacara Hari Santri yang dipimpin Plt Bupati Tulungagung, Drs Maryoto Birowo MM, itu adalah Wakil Ketua DPRD Tulungagung, Adib Makarim MH, Ketua Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Drs H Mashud dan Ketua Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, H Widodo Prasetyo SP MMA.

Menurut Adib Makarim, DPRD Tulungagung sangat mendukung momentum tanggal 22 Oktober ditetapkan secara nasional sebagai Hari Santri. “Pada tanggal 22 Oktober ini para santri dulu mengusir penjajah dari tanah air kita tercinta Indonesia,” ujarnya.

Ia pun berharap para santri saat ini menjadi santri yang berakhlakul karimah dan dapat mewarisi semangat santri-santri terdahulu. Terlebih saat ini banyak kegiatan dan agenda dari para santri yang dapat menumbuhkan semangat dan motivasi semua pemuda dan pemudi Indonesia.

Sebelumnya, Maryoto Birowo menyatakan pula jika santri-santri sekarang harus mengingat perjuangan santri dan kiai terdahulu. Mereka berjuang melawan penjajah untuk tegaknya negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia.

“Beliau-beliau itu lah yang menjadi pioner dalam memperjuangkan kemerdekaan Indonesia dan meletakkan pondasi NKRI,” tandasnya.

Maryoto juga berharap para santri di era sekarang untuk ikut berperan serta dan berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan dan pemerintahan. Khususnya di Kabupaten Tulungagung.
