DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Komisi C DPRD Tulungagung meminta PDAM Tulungagung untuk segera menyelesaikan perbaikan pipa utama yang putus  akibat terkena terjangan banjir bandang yang terjadi di Kecamatan Pagerwojo beberapa hari lalu. Masalahnya, sampai hari ini, Senin (3/12), sebagian pelanggan PDAM Tulungagung di tujuh kecamatan belum mendapat air bersih.

“Kami sudah minta PDAM segera menambah tenaga kerja untuk perbaikan pipa utama yang putus dan rusak itu,” ujar anggota Komisi C DPRD Tulungagung, Heru Santoso SPd MPd.

Penyelesaian secara cepat perbaikan pipa utama PDAM yang rusak, menurut dia, sangat dinantikan oleh pelanggan PDAM Tulungagung. Apalagi mereka sudah tidak dapat kucuran air bersih dari PDAM Tulungagung sejak Jumat (30/11) lalu.

“Kedepan kami meminta  pula pada PDAM Tulungagung untuk mengoperasikan sumur-sumur air bawah tanah sebagai cadangan sewaktu-waktu terjadi bencana. Meskipun secara biaya operasional membutuhkan biaya yang sedikit lebih mahal,” paparnya.

Pipa utama PDAM Tulungagung yang putus diterjang banjir di Kecamatan Pagerwojo.

Selanjutnya,  Heru Santoso, Komisi C DPRD Tulungagung sudah melakukan koordinasi dengan PDAM Tulungagung dan tinjau lapangan terkait matinya distribusi air sejak tiga hari lalu itu. “Memang ada pipa utama PDAM Tulungagung yang putus diterjang banjir bandang di wilayah Kecamatan Pagerwojo. Sudah dilakukan upaya perbaikan dan penggantian, tetapi karena medan yang sulit jadi membutuhkan waktu untuk menyelesaikan perbaikannya,” ucapnya.

Politisi asal PDI Perjuangan ini menyadari jika matinya aliran air PDAM Tulungagung ke para pelanggannya itu karena faktor alam. Bukan karena kesengajaan PDAM Tulungagung.

“Semoga segera dapat selesai perbaikannya. Dan karena bukan kesalahan teknis dari PDAM Tulungagung pelanggan harus memakluminya. Ini karena faktor bencana alam yang bisa terjadi sewaktu-waktu,” tuturnya.
