Tetap Dukung Jalur Zonasi Dalam PPDB

DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Kalangan Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung tetap mendukung penerimaan peserta didik baru (PPDB) pada tahun ini tetap di antaranya menggunakan jalur zonasi. PPDB dengan jalur zonasi dinilai untuk pemerataan kualitas pendidikan, apalagi merupakan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI.

“Kalau sudah merupakan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI harus dijalankan pemberlakuan jalur zonasi dalam PPDB,” ujar Ketua Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Drs H Mashud, Jumat (2/3).

Menurut dia, jalur zonasi dalam PPDB memberi kesempatan pada calon siswa yang tempat tinggalnya berada di dekat sekolah yang dituju. “Apalagi dengan sistem zonasi akan membuat arus lalulintas di jalan raya akan terkurangi dengan siswa bersekolah di dekat tempat tinggalnya,” tandas politisi asal PKB itu.

Hal yang sama dikatakan Wakil Ketua Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Drs H Imam Ngaqoib MH. Ia menyatakan sudah seharusnya siswa SD yang berasal dari Kecamatan Boyolangu dapat diterima di SMPN yang berada di Boyolangu. Bukan justru tidak diterima dan harus bersekolah di sekolah yang jaraknya jauh dari tempat tinggalnya. “Kalau sampai tidak diterima di sekolah yang dekat rumahnya dan harus bersekolah di tempat yang jauh tentu juga akan membebani psikologis siswa yang bersangkutan,” paparnya.

Selanjutnya Imam Ngaqoib menyatakan boleh-boleh saja sebagian masyarakat tidak setuju dengan penerapan zonasi dengan alasan akan meniadakan sekolah terbaik di Tulungagung. “Memang itu maksud dari zonasi, agar semua sekolah di Tulungagung menjadi unggulan atau favorit  semua. Tidak hanya satu atau dua sekolah saja yang unggul,” tuturnya.

Namun demikian, politisi asal PAN ini mengakui masih diperlukan evaluasi dalam penerapan PPDB jalur zonasi. Masalahnya, ada indikasi manipulasi data jarak antara sekolah yang dituju dan tempat tinggal yang diajukan calon siswa saat PPDB pada tahun lalu. “Ini yang harus diperbaki tahun ini. Jangan sampai ada yang memanipulasi data jarak antara sekolah yang dituju dan tempat tinggal calon siswa,” tuturnya.

Seperti diketahui PPDB di Kabupaten Tulungagung tahun 2017 lalu menggunakan empat jalur. Yakni jalur zonasi, jalur prestasi, jalur tes kompetensi dan jalur online.
