Mengunjungi salah satu sentra produk unggulan di Kota Palangkaraya.

DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Dalam rangka peningkatan kapasitas, Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung melakukan studi banding ke Kota Palangkaraya, Senin (5/12) sampai dengan Kamis (8/12). Studi banding dimaksudkan untuk mempelajari pengelolaan produk unggulan dan UMKM (usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah) di kota yang berada di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah itu.

Kedatangan anggota Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung diterima oleh para pejabat pemerintah daerah setempat dan juga anggota DPRD Kota Palangkaraya. Mereka mempersilan para anggota Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung untuk bertukar pikiran dan meihat perkembangan UMKM di Palangkaraya.

Ketua Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, Widodo Prasetyo, mengungkapkan setelah melihat dan mempelajari perkembangan produk unggulan dan UMKM di Kota Palangkaraya, ada beberapa ketertinggalan yang dialami Kabupaten Tulungagung. Di antaranya kapasitas dan kualitas produk yang masih rendah dan belum memiliki brand image.

“Harus diakui masih banyak kekurangan. Pelaksanaan perlindungan konsumen dan pengawasan barang/jasa yang beredar di pasaran juga belum optimal . Begitupun dengan pengembangan mutu produk, desain, merk dagang belum optimal dan lemah dalam sistem packaging,” ujarnya.

Untuk memajukan sektor UMKM dan pemasaran produk unggulan, menurut dia, diperlukan lintas sektoral dan lintas daerah dalam rangka kerjasama pengembangan pelaku usaha. “Disini diperlukan peran pemerintah daerah,” tandasnya.

Dipaparkan, penataan dari pemerintah daerah sangat diperlukan agar program sistem pendukung dan peningkatan kelembagaan produk unggulan dan UMKM bisa termonitor. Selain bisa dievaluasi.
