Rombongan Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung saat diterima pejabat Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surakarta di Kantor Dinas Pendidikan Surakarta, Jumat (15/11).

DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Jumat (15/11), melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surakarta Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Kunjungan kerja tersebut dalam rangka studi banding terkait pelaksanaan program pendidikan murah.

Semua pimpinan dan anggota Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung ikut dalam studi banding tersebut. Mereka dipimpin Ketua Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Gunawan, dan didampingi Ketua DPRD Tulungagung, Marsono SSOs, selaku koordinator Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung.

Kedatangan rombongan pimpinan dan anggota Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung ini diterima oleh Kasi Kesiswaan Bidang SMP Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surakarta, Tarno, di Kantor Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surakarta.

Seusai pertemuan Gunawan menyatakan penerapan program pendidikan murah di Kota Surakarta dan Kabupaten Tulungagung berbeda. Jika di Tulungagung semua siswa kelas 1 SD dan kelas VII SMP mendapat bantuan seragam dan perlengkapan sekolah gratis, namun di Kota Surakarta diterapkan pemberian bantuan uang non tunai bagi siswa dari keluarga miskin (gakin). “Setiap siswa gakin mendapat kartu gesek untuk pembelian kebutuhan sekolah,” ujarnya.

Sebelumnya, saat memaparkan program Bantuan Pendidikan Masyarakat Kota Surakarta  (BPMKS), Tarno mengungkapkan kartu gesek untuk siswa gakin dapat digunakan siswa untuk membeli kebutuhan sekolah di 22 toko. Setiap siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar (SD) masing-masing mendapat Rp 450 ribu per tahun. Sedang untuk siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) sebesar Rp 600 ribu pertahun.

Semua siswa yang mendapat kartu BPMKS dapat membeli kebutuhan sekolah seperti seragam, sepatu, buku dan tas di 22 toko yang telah ditunjuk itu. Ke-22 toko tersebut sudah melakukan kerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surakarta.
