DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Anggota Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung asal Fraksi Demokrat, H Nurhamim SAg, meminta agar segera ada pengembalian sebagian pejabat pengawas SD dan SMP menjadi guru. Ia beralasan jumlah pejabat pengawas di lingkup Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dikpora) Kabupaten Tulungagung itu sudah overload (kelebihan).

“Harus ada tindakan segera dari pejabat berwenang untuk mengembalikan pejabat pengawas menjadi guru. Jumlah pengawas saat ini sudah overload,” ujar H Nurhamim, Rabu (6/12).

Permintaan ini sempat pula dilontarkan Sekretaris Fraksi Demokrat DPRD Tulungagung ini saat menyampaikan pandangan akhir fraksinya di Rapat Paripurna DPRD Tulungagung, Rabu (29/11) malam lalu.

Menurut Nurhamim, kelebihan pejabat pengawas tersebut, utamanya pengawas SD sudah tidak bisa ditolerir lagi. Apalagi, saat ini banyak sekolah yang kekurangan guru. “Ada baiknya dikembalikan lagi sebagai guru, karena sekarang di sejumlah sekolah kekurangan guru,” tuturnya.

Dipaparkan, penarikan kembali pengawas sebagai guru merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi kekuranan guru . “Standarnya satu pengawas itu memegang enam lembaga,” tandasnya.

Sebelumnya, Ketua Komisi A DPRD Tulungagung, Drs H Mashud, juga mengatakan hal yang sama. Ia mendapat laporan jika saat ini jumlah pengawas SD dan SMP sudah lebih dari yang seharusnya.

“Guru yang mendapat tugas tambahan sebagai kepala sekolah selama dua periode tidak semestinya kemudian diangkat semua menjadi pengawas. Di antara mereka juga sebaiknya ada yang dikembalikan jadi guru. Bukan justru diangkat semua menjadi pengawas dan membuat jabatan pengawas kelebihan,” paparnya.
