DPRD TULUNGAGUNG – Potensi bidang pertanian di Tulungagung bakal terus digenjot produktifitasnya oleh Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung. Utamanya, hasil pertanian holtikultura.

Demikian diungkapkan Sekretaris Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, Faruq Tri Fauzi MPdI, Jumat (10/2). “Kami melihat ada potensi untuk meningkatkan hasil pertanian di Tulungagung. Pertanian di Kota Batu yang berbasis agrowisata bisa dijadikan contoh untuk meningkatkan hasil pertanian di Tulungagung,” ujarnya.

Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, lanjut dia, sudah melihat perkembangan pertanian di Kota Batu saat melakukan kunjungan kerja ke Kota Wisata itu, Kamis (9/2). “Ada yang patut dicontoh dari Kota Batu terkait bidang pertanian, kendati nanti disesuaikan dengan keadaan real di Tulungagung,” terangnya.

Selain itu, menurut Faruq, bidang UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah) bakal juga mendapat perhatian lebih dari Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung. Apalagi saat ini bidang pariwisata di Tulungagung semakin tumbuh.

“Bidang UMKM yang dipadukan dengan bidang pariwisata akan membuat UMKM semakin meningkat. Hal ini sudah terbukti di Kota Batu,” papar politisi asal PKS ini.

Kunjungan kerja ke Kota Batu diikuti semua anggota Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung. Termasuk Koordinator Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, Adib Makarim MH, Ketua Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, H Widodo Prasetyo SP MMA dan Wakil Ketua Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung, Sofyan Heryanto SE.

Dalam kunjungan ke Kota Batu, Komisi B DPRD Tulungagung juga mendapat penjelasan dari perwakilan Pemkot Batu yang menerimanya terkait pelaksanaan program ibu hamil yang dilakukan oleh dinas setempat yang membidangi ibu dan anak (di Tulungagung bernama Dinas Sosial, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan KB).

Setiap ibu hamil dari perkawinan yang sah pada kehamilan anak pertama dan kedua di Kota Batu mendapat tunjangan nutrisi selama sembilan bulan. Di samping itu, para ibu itu juga mendapat fasilitas persalinan gratis meskipun harus operasi dengan fasilitas kesehatan kelas tiga.
